Sauce on the Side
This past week has been quite random but overall lovely, so this post will be quite random but I hope you will find it lovely.
This tree is in bloom in my neighbor's front yard, it makes me smile every time I see it.
The girls have been happy and playing and laughing more than crying and grouchy. Today we went to the park and they ran around in the big field. What a change from when I used to take them to the park and put them on a blanket and they would roll around. It is way more exhausting now! Taylor runs as fast as she can and giggles her head off when you catch her and drag her back to where McKenna is standing timidly under a tree.
Last weekend I got to see my Dad in San Diego where he was for business. I drove out Saturday and we went to the Wild Animal Park and had a blast walking around and looking at all the animals. That night we went to Coronado, which is where I would live if I had a lot of money, and walked on the beach and had dinner at my favorite Mexican Restaurant, Miguel's. My friend Caitlin was sweet enough to drive down too so we got to enjoy her company for dinner as well. Sunday morning we celebrated Mother's Day (yeah...my poor Mama was alone while Dad and I were together) by having breakfast at Poseidon's in Del Mar. Yummy! Then I stopped in at Trader Joe's before heading back to Yuma. It was wonderful to get to spend time with my Dad and I am glad I will see him again in a few short weeks.
Of course we were together two days and only took pictures of the animals...so here is a gorilla we loved!
The dogs had to go to the vet while I was in San Diego so I made it up to them by buying them new bones. Yes, I have guilt when I leave them.
Tuesday my brother-in-law and sister-in-law found out that the baby they are expecting October 1st is a BOY! His name is Noah and I can't wait to meet him.
I took the Jeep to get the oil changed and it came with a free car wash. Doesn't everyone take pictures of themselves in the car wash? No? Just me I guess...
Also, here is a gorgeous cluster of flowers. I love the patterns and colors nature can conjure up. I hope everyone has a random and lovely week!
